Dimitris Avramopoulos’s participation in the Med-Or Foundation Conference, 22/9/2025

 

 

I took part in the Med-Or Foundation Conference in Palermo, where we exchanged ideas with figures from 27 countries across Europe and the Arab world on the Mediterranean and global security.

Among other points, I made special reference to the need to resolve the Cyprus issue and to Cyprus’s strategic importance for security, peace, and cooperation in the Eastern Mediterranean.

An important dialogue initiative in a time of major challenges.
