Dimitris Avramopoulos, the Mayor of the city of Athens in … brings together all mayors of the world in the Greek capital, where he founds the so-called “City-Diplomacy”, an institution, which aims at promoting a long-lasting collaboration between all cities of the world and at building bridges of friendship and mutual understanding between all nations and civilizations.
The innovative institution of “City-Diplomacy” was immediately embraced by the United Nations. Up to now, it proves to be the most important international initiative, which promotes in practice solidarity between cities all around the world.
