The Minister of National Defence Dimitris Avramopoulos received held a meeting at the Ministry of National Defence with the National Coordinator against Corruption Ioannis Tentes.
Scope of their meeting was to explore the framework so as to effectively exploit the institutional capabilities in order to control, for the first time, the procurement procedures in the area of the Armed Forces.
Mr. Avramopoulos, as he had recently stated, assured Mr. Tentes that the Ministry will contribute with all its services to his project and mission, based on the principle to protect public interest and transparency in the Armed Forces.
During their meeting it was decided to form a Working Group in the Ministry of National Defence, for the exploration of special issues in the pertinence of the National Coordinator against Corruption.
