This is the last JHA Council of the Estonian presidency. I’d like today to express my thanks and my congratulations to the President of JHA Council, a good friend, the Minister of Interior of Estonia,. Today I will debrief the ministers on the outcome of the yesterday’s third internet forum that took place here in Brussels with the participation of the major internet providers, Facebook, Twitter, Google and Microsoft. We work very closely with them in an atmosphere of trust which is very important in order to accomplish our tasks. Today I will also present today to the ministers our roadmap, which is our contribution to the discussion that will take place next week in the summit. We believe that by working very closely, the MS will be in a position, by the end of June, to finalize the procedure for the reform of the asylum system and to shift from a crisis mode in managing migration to a more functional and stable system. We have to be resilient and well prepared for the future. We are definitely not where we were three years ago, we made great progress but a lot has still to be done in the future. We count a lot on the cooperation among MS. Now as far as Schengen is concerned, it is the moment to go back to normal. The provisional, the temporary reintroduction of border controls shall stop. So we are going to work together with all our colleagues in order to restore the full function of the Schengen zone. These are the issues we are going to discuss today with the ministers and then we are looking forward to producing –as we always do – political results on our policies.

Q on infringements on Hungary. Poland and Czech Republic.

DA : From the very beginning, I was in favour of a dialogue and I have tried hard to convince the 3 well-known MS, Poland, Hungary and Czech Republic to contribute by showing some solidarity at least. So far, it didn’t happen and to my regret I had to make the next step. But I believe there is still some room and some time to change and if they do it, we shall stop it. Otherwise I guess the next step will be going to the Court. Thank you, have a nice day.
