Foreign Minister Dimitris Avramopoulos met today with His Beatitude Patriarch Theodoros II of Alexandria and All Africa.
During their meeting, which took place in a warm climate, Patriarch Theodoros II briefed Mr. Avramopoulos on the latest developments in Egypt and the multifaceted activities of the Patriarchate. Mr. Avramopoulos congratulated the Patriarch on the Patriarchate’s extensive philanthropic and apostolic activities throughout Africa, and reiterated Greece’s firm support for the work of the Patriarchate of Alexandria and its vital mission.
Deputy Foreign Minister Kostas Tsiaras also participated in the meeting.
