Foreign Minister Dimitris Avramopoulos sent a letter of congratulations to George Korontzis, a high-ranking member of the UN staff in New York City, who has assumed the position of Deputy Director, Officer-in-Charge of the Codification of International Law Division of the UN Office of Legal Affairs, while also taking on the duties of Secretary of the Sixth Committee of the UN General Assembly and Secretary of the International Law Commission.
The Greek government supported Mr. Korontzis’s candidacy through a letter from the Foreign Minister to the UN Secretary General.
