Foreign Minister Avramopoulos’ statement following his meetings on Wednesday within the framework of the UN General Assembly

In my meetings on all levels, both multilaterally and bilaterally, with many countries from around the world, we have set the goal during the General Assembly of promoting our interests in every sector – the economy, energy – and of explaining Greece’s positions on matters of particular national sensitivity for our country.

At the same time, we presented to all our collocutors – fully and convincingly – the state of affairs in Greece with relation to the wider economic crisis, as well as the efforts being made at this time by the Greek people, the Greek government, all of us, to be able to revamp the Greek economy and contribute to the wider effort for Europe to find its way again.
