Participation by D. Avramopoulos in the XII Global Baku Forum, on a panel titled “Geopolitical Shifts: Responsible Partnerships versus Rivalry.”

Also on the panel were the following distinguished participants:

• Vaira Vīķe-Freiberga, President of Latvia (1999–2007)
• Hikmat Hajiyev, Head of the Foreign Policy Affairs Department, Presidential Administration of Azerbaijan
• Mevlüt Çavuşoğlu, Member of the Turkish Parliament and former Minister of Foreign Affairs (2014–2023)
• Wu Hongbo, former Special Envoy of the Chinese Government for European Affairs
• Shafik Gabr, Chairman and CEO, ARTOC Group for Investment & Development

During my stay, I met and held discussions with the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Azerbaijan, Mr. Jeyhun Bayramov, as well as with prominent figures, including current and former presidents and prime ministers.

The Forum’s central theme was: “Rethinking World Order: Turning Challenges into Opportunities.”
