We bid farewell to Ambassador Petros Molyviatis with deep respect, esteem, recognition, and affection.
He was a model of sound judgment, national responsibility, and modesty, and he tied his contribution to our foreign policy to the side of the Ethnarch, Konstantinos Karamanlis, as well as in critical moments of modern Greek history.
I had the honor to succeed him at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in 2012, and our close association over the years was for me a source of invaluable experience and genuine inspiration.
His passing leaves a void, but also a substantial legacy for Greek diplomacy and the country’s public life. My warm and sincere condolences to his family.
