The Minister of National Defence Dimitris Avramopoulos held a telephone conversation today with the Minister of Defence of Turkey Ismet Yilmaz.
Mr. Avramopoulos expressed Greece’s intention to assist, if asked to do so, to the tracking and removal operation for a Turkish F-16 aircraft which crashed in the Aegean Sea in 1996, and he wished his counterpart a successful outcome to their research.
