The Minister of National Defence Dimitris Avramopoulos visited the Embassy of South Africa and signed the book of condolences over the passing of Nelson Mandela

The message of condolences of the Minister of National Defence is the following: 

“We respectfully say goodbye to Nelson Mandela, the greatest leader of Democracy, human rights and national understanding, of the past century. Nelson Mandela will always have a special place in the conscience of the peoples and the nations, and especially of the Greeks and Greece, to whom he has always been a firm friend and supporter. 

The land that gave birth to Democracy, Greece, honours him and is grateful to him”.
